Hey people,
I can imagine what went through your mind when u saw the title of this post, Lol.
Well yes we can all have something close to the Kim K, Toolz, Jocelyn Dumas (and the rest) no matter your body type. Please note that i said "something CLOSE" o.
It all boils down to dressing your body type appropriately. Not when you know you have a straight body you will now go and buy a dress that is very similar to one you saw on Toolz (in that case you are on your very own). Lol.
NOTE: The pictures below do not mean the people have the body under which their pictures have been put, just showing what style will work best.
The APPLE
You can create the illusion of a waist by wearing something with details on the waist and below the knee as well.
The PEAR
You will need to add more volume to the upper part of your body, this can be achieved with ruffles, dramatic necklines, accessories or an awesome bra *wink*
The RECTANGLE
A peplum top does wonders for this body type but since you cannot wear peplum for the rest of your life there are other options. You can have details on the waist, neckline and the bottom.
Mixing of different patterns also creates the illusion.
The HOURGLASS
Now lets take a moment to admire the owners of the "hourglass figure" ( if you were unfortunate to miss the figure 8 queue, better start praying for your daughters).

R these all d body types tho??? Cos i cant seem to find my own. Plus..ders a pic missing in d pear group. Thanks to d post i hav demoted d missin pic frm hourglass to pear shape. #ok bye
ReplyDeleteHourglass rocks!
ReplyDeleteHonestly, I think these days pear shaped women are mistaken for having the hourglass shape. Aside from the last girl listed under hourglass, Toolz and what's her name seem pretty pear shaped to me : they're bottom heavy, which is what pear shaped is. Hourglass or figure 8 seems to be more of a slim waist but similar top and hip shape.
ReplyDeleteActually Toolz may fall under that hourglass figure because shes got bosoms, rather than bee stings/itty bitty titty committee like the 2nd lady
ReplyDeleteThe only hourglass person on your hourglass list is the last one. The one on the blue/green dress. The upper two are just very endowed pear shaped women. We tend to make that mistake. The hourglass is balanced up and down. And you must not be very voluptuous, it all has to do with the bone structure. Skinny people can be hourglass too.
