I am soooo excited because I have found my wedding dress *whoop*, now reality is setting in that I am getting married.
For me finding a dress was an annoying process because none of the stores had my size in stock so I basically had to try on bigger dresses and imagine how they would look in my Size.
And I tried on a number of dresses and some where quite pretty but I just knew that once I find my dress I would know (i.e i would be all emotional and maybe shed little tear) because I was super super emotional sometime last year when I followed my friend on her own dress search.
So yes, I had been to quite a number of shops and I decided to go to Imani Swank Bridals in Lekki ( mainly because they are super awesome during consultations, they go the whole way when it comes to explaining Dresses, body types and budgets). My plan was to go there, listen very well during consultation and try on dresses and then later go and get my dress custom made because I had given up hope on finding anything really.
So my Friends and I got there and after the 4th dress I was already unhappy and feeling bad when the owner said to hold on for one more dress that was in the store, honestly I only waited just to be polite. Then came her assistant holding the most AMAZING Dress Eveeeeer!!! just looking at the dress alone I was already dancing around in excitement.
Then...... I tried it on and OMG, the emotions came flooding, I just couldn't stop looking in the mirror!! I fell in love with myself.
Taking my Mom and Sister to go and check it out this weekend, for validation ( even if they don't like it, I'll still get it and make them choose my reception dress lool, because I just know that dress was made for me!!)

Woohoo! Dress shopping is always so much fun, dress shopping to find THE dress must be the best! How did you meet your fiance?! Do you have the story on here somewhere?
ReplyDeletelol, I'm soo glad I found THE dress!! My Fiancé and I actually met through our sisters, our sisters are friends and they decided to hook us up and we've been together since (8 years and counting)!!
